One of my favorite things about staying home is that we get to do whatever we want. Today? Hanging out in downtown Parker then off to a yogurt place where it’s half off all day. Living the dream.
Lunching It With The Camster

We decided to surprise Cambri at lunch today. It went over well. My favorite part? When all the little first grade girls come running over to give “Cambri’s mom” a hug. I’m like a celebrity straight from wherever celebrities come from. It also doesn’t hurt that they tell me I’m beautiful. I take what I can get.

This is one of Cambri’s favorite activities to do at recess. She’s “just relaxing.”
I received an email from her teacher telling me she’s reading at an independent DRA 40. That’s a fourth grade level. This girl blows me away sometimes.

Happy Birthday, Adam!
If you want a chaotic, cruddy birthday, then go ahead and marry me. My plan was to meet him for lunch and take him to get some basketball shoes for when he played on Tuesdays. I took our van in to see what was making the grinding noise and the homeboy at the car shop scared the living daylights out of me and basically made me believe that our car was going to explode if I even looked at it again. Then he said it would cost $1724 to fix and did I need a ride home. So I called Adam in a panic, telling him all of this and he took the rest of the day off and fixed everything. Then Cambri had a doctor’s appointment so I couldn’t make his dinner that he wanted, but I did pick up some Mexican food, which is his favorite.
She was whining like crazy because I told her to get off of the chair. I got out my camera to take a picture of it, but when I told her to make her whiney face again this is what I got.
And this is the cake I made. I did make sure to make Adam his favorite cake (tres leches, which I find disgusting). Then I thought it would be funny to put the princesses on it, just to class it up a little bit.
He seemed to like it.
Happy birthday, Adam. Next year I’ll try not to make it crazy for you, but I’m not making any promises.

Open House

I was able to go to Kate’s open house for school without Haley and Paige (because Lindsey and Kelly are awesome). I got to watch her decorate her scavenger hunt bag. She enjoyed it immensely, as usual.

I got to watch her hula hoop. She’s pretty good, too. Especially considering the fact we don’t own one.

Then we scavenger hunted. And, as usual, Kate was extremely particular about exactly which rock, leaf, and blade of grass to get. At least we know she won’t make any quick decisions.

And we watch her do the calm down steps after. These do not work when we’re at home in case anyone was wondering.

And then we sat in the circle. We like Kate. She’s very reliable. And she likes structure and routine. If she has all of these then she will be quite happy.

At dinner: Mom, can you clear my spot for me do I don’t have to get up?
After taking her first sip of a slurpee: This is what I’m talking about!
Provo in 24 Hours
We were going to be in Provo for one day only so we were hoping this would be enough candy to get us through. And those cupcakes? So good. And I hate cupcakes so that’s saying something. Well, one of them was good. The others were just okay.
Randell wasn’t loving his graduation cap so I tried it on to show him how hot he could look.
And this is the spot where Heritage Halls used to be. And I may or may not have taken a picture of this sign because I may or may not be extremely immature. If you’re on my level, it’ll be funny to you, too.
Hair check. Can you take a test?
And the Y. I love the Y. And I love campus. And I love everything about it. The brainwashing will begin now so my kids will go here.
And then there was shopping, obviously. It was so strenuous some of us had to take a nap.
Randell (on the left) with our cousin. They graduated in the same school so it was a happy family get together during the commencement.
We were just missing Chris and Janelle and we would’ve all been together for the first time in years.
Randell throwing his hat. He didn’t look as cute as Jenny. Who’s Jenny you ask?
This is Jenny. Isn’t she adorable? I like her big time.
“That’s where Chris used to live.” –Everyone on the trip at least one time.
